Petra started her career as Portent, spunky teen sidekick to Omen. Things were easier when she started out as far as her view on crime and the necessity of supers and the Meta-Human Registration Initiative were simple. Registering meant they could keep an eye on people who might abuse their powers. Omen was registered and so was she. Criminals were never registered because they wanted to get away with as much as possible. It was clean and easy and she knew she was doing the right thing.
Not that things ever stay that simple.
Petra grew up from a teen desperate to impress her mentor to an equal partner in their quest to keep the city safe. The only catch is that real life doesn't stop just because sometimes you need to put on a costume and fight crime.
These days she's a little more open to the shades of grey. Registration status is supposed to be secret but she's seen it be leaked to the press at the worst possible moments. Prisons for meta-criminals don't work on rehabilitation and instead tend to be holding pens that only exacerbate . She knows the world needs to change but it's a tough road.
In her civilian life, Petra is confident and energetic. She's trying to earn a degree in criminal justice to take a step toward her goal of changing things from inside the system but it's tough to balance the things she wants to do with her duties as a hero.

Mid-level Healing Factor: The ability to recover from most wounds is a useful one for someone who spends her nights fighting criminals. While the absolute limits have not been tested on her ability to recover, he can regenerate some extremities but the process is incredibly painful.
Hand-to-hand: While not a meta-ability Petra has spent years training with Omen to keep in peak physical shape. She doesn't follow a particular school and is entirely willing to fight dirty if it means getting the job done.
